Nepal is a land locked country and business here is conducted through India as per provision laid down in the Indo - Nepal transit treaty promulgated in the year 1991, and there was no land – sea shipment going out of the country and all shipments were airlifted. So land –sea concept was envolved by Mr.Santosh Sharma the Managing Director and was introduced for the first time in Nepal using Kolkata / Haldia port as the hub for export shipments. This concept Proved economically viable and most exporters are adopting this modus operandi.
